Description
This chapter analyses the nature of the Cyberspace presence and actions of Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). Cyberspace uses the Internet as its medium. The term ‘cyberspace’ is attributed to the science fiction author, William Gibson. Here, in this chapter, Cyberspace refers to the platform for creating knowledge and interaction, and the Internet is the medium by which it is virtually transmitted. So, as far as this chapter is concerned, Cyberspace is described as: (1) reaching a wide audience, which is ‘not tied to geographic location’; and (2) enabling numerous ways of interacting.
