Description

This chapter reports on findings from a study investigating the construction of knowledge in tertiary chemistry through the resources of taxis (hypotaxis and parataxis) and logico-semantic relations (elaboration, extension, enhancement and projection). The focus of attention is on the creation of temporal meanings through two grammatical resources: logical complexing and circumstantial transitivity.
