Description

The worship of Murugan in Britain is the product of migration of Tamil populations, especially those from Sri Lanka. Yet this process was not confined to the large-scale migration which resulted from the civil war in Sri Lanka. Individual Tamils from both Sri Lanka and India have been arriving in Britain since the beginning of the second half of the twentieth century and before.
