Description

Ethnoarchaeology is ethnographic research conducted by an archaeologist with specific archaeological questions in mind. Although ethnographic research from the 19th and 20th centuries provide insights into traditional lifeways in the region, recent ethnoarchaeological studies of traditional technologies, like pottery production, allow archaeologists to observe and interview modern practitioners in order to better understand ancient behaviors.
