Description

The discussion in Chapter 6 comes subsequently to discuss and summarise the emerging themes in the business interactions. This chapter ends with a proposed alternative theoretical model for analysing face inChinese or even across cultural contexts. It is therefore suggested that face should be theorised by both taking a cognitive as well as interactional perspective into account, since face is not only conjointly co-constituted in interaction, but also constitutive of the interaction.
