She is co-author of several textbooks for learners and teachers of English as a Second Language, including a contribution to the 2019 volume, Learning Strategy Instruction in the Language Classroom.

Dr. Pat Barr-Harrison is Director of Outreach for the National Museum of Language (NML). She served as Supervisor of Foreign Language for Prince George’s County, Maryland, as well as president of the NML. She has been president of The National Association of District Supervisors of Foreign Languages in the US (NADSFL) and of The Greater Washington Association of Teachers of Foreign Languages (GWATFL).

Gregory J. Nedved has served at the Museum in numerous capacities since 2008 (his position at the time of this publication was Museum Vice President). He has over 25 years of experience as a Chinese-Mandarin instructor, translator and interpreter for the Department of Defense (DoD). He is the author of the 2016 book, Presidential Foreign Language Trivia.
