Description

This sūra begins by exhorting believers to remain steadfast in the face of opposition, and then recounts the stories of seven previous messengers. It also describes the nature of ‘the Book’ revealed to the Prophet and its relationship to the previous scriptures of the ‘People of the Book.’ It takes its title from the parable of ‘the spider’ at Q29.41.
