Description

This sūra opens with an emphatic declaration of the unity and creative power of God. Next come sections on the resurrection and the different fates awaiting believers and disbelievers, followed by stories of previous messengers from Noah to Jonah. Its title refers to the angels standing in assembly around the divine throne (Q37.1, 165).
