Elena Di Pede holds a Doctorate in Theology from the University of Louvain in Belgium. She teaches Old Testament exegesis and biblical languages at the University of Lorraine in Metz, France. Her research includes the prophetic books, especially Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Amos, and the Twelve as a book, about which she has edited and published a number of articles in French.

Description

After Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel comes a fourth prophetic book, the Minor Prophets (Hosea to Malachi). Should these twelve booklets be read separately, or do they reflect a reading of Israel’s past as sin, punishment and restoration? Are both options applicable?
