Martin Kavka is Professor and Chair in the Department of Religion at Florida State University. He is the author of Jewish Messianism and the History of Philosophy, which in 2008 won the Jordan Schnitzer Book Award in Philosophy and Jewish Thought from the Association for Jewish Studies. Author of sixty articles, he also co-edited the Journal of Religious Ethics from 2011 to 2021.
